God is so, so good to us! He has blessed us so tremendously throughout this pilgrimage.
Though the weather was dreary – look at these pathetic sunflowers who could not find the sun, our word for the day is alegria! Happiness! Now this is a happy little flower!
This seventh day of our novena to St. James, we are reminded of Jesus great commandment to the disciples to go out to the world, to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. How Our Lord’s Resurrection gave the disciples such joy and happiness.
In the prayers we are to remember and be thankful for the happiness that comes from our faith and our own calling, mission, from God.
We found what Mary and I thought looked like a Gothic Cathedral in the trees!
Today we were given a great gift. We were reunited with one of the nameless pilgrims about whom Ive written several times in this blog! We just happened upon her, and it was such a happy reunion. She is the beautiful pilgrim who was grieving the recent loss of her mother. It’s indescribable the change in her smile. It was a genuinely happy smile. As Marsha said, you could see that she really “felt” the smile. We are so happy to see Stephanie again. She has been, without her having known it, part of our Camino.
Today I walked for all the people who have been praying for us! Our friends, families, professional colleagues, the “Walking with Purpose” ladies, my sister’s Bible Study, my “soul sisters.” Thank you! We have felt your prayers.
I intentionally did not set up this blog for “subscribers” because I thought daily notifications could become an annoyance to any followers. I also did not set up for comments because I was afraid that it would become a distraction and preoccupation for me. I have enough going on! However, if any followers have any specific questions about this Camino experience, you can email them to me here: lagott3@verizon.net and I will try my best to answer your questions on the blog tomorrow!
But move fast! Remember there’s a 6 hour time difference and I need to sleep! Ask away!
